What is AfricArxiv and why do we need a prepint repository for Africa.
AfricArXiv is a community-led digital archive for African research communication. Preprints offer the possibility to share research early, before publication. While having an article accepted and published in a journal can take over a year, a preprint version can be cited and discussed, as soon as it gets approved in the repository. AfricArXiv is a regional preprint repository with a focus on Africa to contribute contextualized region-specific, multilingual, and interdisciplinary discourse to science communication globally.
